1956 Austin-Healey 100M BN2 Roadster

This 1956 Austin-Healey 100M BN2 roadster is one of 640 factory-built 100M “Le Mans” examples produced over a 10-month span in 1955 and 1956. Chassis BN2L230890 was reportedly delivered new to an import car dealership, Auto Land, Inc. of Buffalo, New York, and raced by the owners as well as a salesman of the company from 1956 to 1958. It was later sold along with a spare engine to a local buyer and subsequently spent time in Virginia and Georgia. Rust repair and other work was performed as part of a restoration project initiated circa 2010 that was later abandoned before the car was acquired by the seller as a partially disassembled project in 2023 and completed as part of a multi-year refurbishment finalized in 2025. A 100M “Le Mans” Registry Certificate of Membership was issued in November 2025, and the roadster received the Palmetto Award in the Coveted Creations: Rare English class at the 2025 Hilton Head Island Concourse d’Elegance that same month. Finished in Ivory White and black, the car is powered by an overbored 2.7L inline-four fitted with dual SU carburetors that is paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It rides on 15" knock-off wire wheels and is further equipped with Lucas headlights and fog lamps along with a wood-rimmed steering wheel and black leather–trimmed bucket seats. This 100M is now offered with the aforementioned Registry certificate, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a removable black soft top, spare parts, tools, accessories, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name.
