With the Canadian Olympic Committee's Athlete Excellence Fund, athletes get $20,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze.Athletes get that award money for each medal won at the Olympic Games.The performance awards are the same whether an athlete won a team event or an individual event.
