Yorkshire Business Confidence Holds In March

Business confidence in Yorkshire rose 22 points to 62% in March. Firms’ optimism in their own trading prospects rose nine points to 64%, while their optimism in the economy climbed 35 points to 60%. A net balance of 43% of businesses in the region also expects to increase staff levels over the next year, up 26 points on last month. Overall UK business confidence rose 11 points to 55%.
