
Rupee Rises 11 Paise To 91.57 Against USD In Early Trade On Soft Dollar, India-EU FTA Boost
The Indian rupee strengthened 11 paise to 91.57 against the US dollar in early Wednesday trade, aided by a retreating dollar index (down 0.13% to 96.09) and optimism from the concluded India-EU free trade agreement. It opened at 91.60 and hit 91.66 intraday. Equity benchmarks surged, with Sensex up 646 points to 82,504 and Nifty climbing to 25,372, while Brent crude rose to $67.93.
